 ERROR #1: 

Pronunciation of the /ei/ sound in English.



Explanation of what it consists of and why the error occurs: For Spanish speakers it is difficult to pronounce this sound /ei/ because in the Spanish language the vowel e is pronounced /e/ so when we say /ei/ in English we confuse the Spanish vowel /e/ with the English sound /ei/.



Exercise #1: 

Listen and repeat the first 10 words with the /ei/ sound that appear in the video. The words begin at minute 2:09.

When you have practiced the pronunciation of the words, do 10 sentences using these words and continue practicing the correct pronunciation.

Listen to the following story and repeat the pronunciation of the words.




After watching the video, answer the following questions: 


  1. You identified words that have the sound /ei/? If so, write the words you found.
  2. Did you have trouble identifying these words?
  3. Practice the pronunciation of the entire story of the video.
  4. Write the new words that you identify.
  5. Put the words found in the video into practice in your daily life and pronounce them.
  6. Pronounce the words name and Saturday.
  7. Investigate and write 5 words that have the sound /ei/.
  8. After writing the 5 words that have the sound /ei/ practice the pronunciation by looking in the mirror and try to improve the sounds with which you have trouble pronouncing.
